Business & Financial Services (BFS) supports the university’s mission by driving innovation and excellence in financial operations. Guided by the strategic leadership of the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Controller, BFS is a dynamic team of over 170 dedicated professionals and student employees, all committed to supporting the university’s academic and research endeavors. Our specialized divisions work together to form a strong financial backbone, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while delivering efficient and effective financial services. We take pride in fostering a positive, collaborative environment where teamwork and continuous improvement are celebrated. With a focus on customer service, we strive to empower our campus community, safeguard university assets, and promote a culture of shared financial accountability.
Note: As of July 15, 2024, Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) of BFS merged with Housing and Dining Services, Triton Print & Digital Media, ECEC, and the UC San Diego Bookstore to form Residential, Retail and Supply Chain Services (RRSS) to enhance service delivery across the university. BFS and its other divisions will continue to operate as usual, with no changes to current roles and responsibilities.
